2 HP NetServer Lpr and HP RS/12 on the same SCSI bus
Hello!
We have 2 HP NetServer Lpr connected to HP RS/12 via SCSI so that all three
devices use the same SCSI bus. RS/12 is configured to work in a cluster.
(Switch 1 right)
SCSI card (LSI 8951U) on the first server is asigned ID 7 and SCSI card
(LSI 8951U) on the second server is asigned ID 6.
Hardware works fine. SCSI BIOS detects all SCSI HDDs both on server1 and on
server2.
We need server1 and server2 run Windows 2000 AS and share local disks, but it
seems Windows 2000 from the box can not do it.
MSCS is not applicable - it doesn't share discs on the same SCSI bus.
Is there any solution from HP?
Thanx.

Re: 2 HP NetServer Lpr and HP RS/12 on the same SCSI bus
Only MSCS can handel the sharing for this configuration,so if you are not running MSCS this configuration is deffinetly not supported.
