36GB 10K hot plug replacement

I have a couple of duff 176496-B22 36GB 10K Hot Plug Compaq disks, can I just buy replacement disks or must I buy an entire unit.
How about the non hot plug disk equiv would that fit (177987-001)?

When you order a Universal drive from HP, it comes with the tray. I think you can buy the "drive" from Seagate.
Enjoy!

I would prefer to buy a Compaq part with the right firmware in. Compaq like Dell "prefer" you to use their firmware as it interoperates better with Insight Manager etc.

The non Hot Plug drive will NOT fit (68 pin interface not 80 pin SCA). And Yes, you can just replace the drive in the unit and not replace the entire unit, though the cost will probably more for the replacement drive than the entire unit (don't ask). Check out the costs at our site
