Hi,

What Array Controller are you using, and what process did you use to add the drives to the existing configuration ?

Hello,

we have a smart array 641.
using the ACU program, the system gives us back 2 logical drives

Re: Adding extra disks to a configuration

OK. You should probably delete the newly created logical drive, and then use the ACU to add the new physical drives to the existing logical drive...

This document looks like it will probably help you out:

http://h71019.www7.hp.com/ActiveAnswers/downloads/Performance_Exchange%20Server%202003_HP%20Smart%20Array%206402.pdf

Its for a 6402 rather than a 641, but the process should be similar...

Re: Adding extra disks to a configuration

we have ACU version 7.60, expand is not available to us, it is quit different , the only thing we can do is to create logical drive, that is what we did, he generates a second logical drive
