Alpha DPW500 RAID5 KZPAC-XD 3 x 9GB Internal SCSI
I have successfully configured the RAID5 set - 3 X 9GB SCSI, Raid controller has V2.7 firmware, when I remove 1 of the SCSI HDD from the RAID5 set I cannot boot the OS (OpenVMS 7.3-2) - I get message stating DRA0...degraded =1, failed = 0 and just sits there. Is what I'm trying to achieve supported - much appreciated

Re: Alpha DPW500 RAID5 KZPAC-XD 3 x 9GB Internal SCSI
Hi Chris,
That should be a supported configuration, however KZPACs aren't exactly the most robust RAID controllers...
Cheers,
Rob

Re: Alpha DPW500 RAID5 KZPAC-XD 3 x 9GB Internal SCSI
Thanks Rob, I'm using Ultra SCSI 2 HDD...Basically I'm trying to prove that if I get a failed HDD in my RAID that the system is still going to function - any clues why the system stops and fails to continue booting??
