Anyone upgrade to EVA XCS 6.240 yet? Experiences?
Looking to hear some experiences upgrading to EVA XCS 6.240. In particular, how long the process took, how hosts/servers were affected, etc.

Re: Anyone upgrade to EVA XCS 6.240 yet? Experiences?
Hi,
Generally the procedure will not take more than 15-20 min...
If the current version is already 6.1xx or 6.2xx then it is online upgrade and host IO will not be affected.
Today we are going to do the upgrade at one site and will share if any findings by tomorrow.
I found this version is already updated at some other placed and found no issues.

How did the upgrade go?
The documentation says that the "online" upgrade includes a period of about 60 seconds of latency. Not really what I'd call "online". VMWare virtual servers tend to be sensitive to such period of latency.

Re: Anyone upgrade to EVA XCS 6.240 yet? Experiences?
Hi,
Generally re-sync (after online firmware upgrade) will be completing in <60 seconds. 60sec is the max timeout values. As per the documents the resync time will depend on the number of disks in the EVA also.
We did it the online firmware upgrade in EVA8400 from 9522 to 9534 on the VMware ESX servers(4.0.1) and went success.
