Arrays across multiple controllers
I have W2K server running SQL 2K. The time has come to expand and reconfigure. Our DBA's want to move the data files to multiple mirrored pairs rather than the existing RAID 5 set.
I have purchased an additional 5300 controller and want to have one disk of each mirrored pair controlled by each of the two controllers. For example, disk 1 of set 1 controlled by channel 1 of 5300- A and disk 2 of set 1 controlled by channel 1 of 5300-B.
Is this possible?- having arrays set-up across two controllers. I know it can be done across different channels of the same controller. Any insight (no pun intended) is appreciated.

Re: Arrays across multiple controllers
Sorry, but arrays can't be configured across controllers. As you said, they can be configured across channels on the same controller but not across controllers.
Have a nice day,
