Yes, the 4Si controller seems to be bootable.

SolutionAnswer is yes.
For N-Class (rp7400), this is supported since PDC version 40.49
For L1000/2000 (rp5400/5450), this is supported since PDC ver. 40.48
For L3000 (rp5470), this is supported for all PDCs.
You have to use HP-UX 11.00 or 11i for this to be true.

There is a configuration software named "irm" with which you can do all your configuration work for the card.
