Storage Boards Cleanup
To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

C2300WDR5 and K460 and HP-UX 11.11

Hello,

I plugged in C2300WDR5 to K460 (with HP-UX 11.11). ioscan shows me:

unknown -1 10/4/4.0 UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN DGC C2300WDR5
unknown -1 10/4/4.0.0 UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN DGC C2300WDR5

Which driver I have to include to the kernel.

Thanks.

I find it - disc3.

As soon as you connected disk array to HP-PB card make sure that scsi1 driver is also in the kernel

Re: C2300WDR5 and K460 and HP-UX 11.11

Works without scsi1:

ext_bus 1 10/4/4 scsi3 CLAIMED INTERFACE HP8696A - Wide SCSI ID=7
target 2 10/4/4.0 target CLAIMED DEVICE
disk 2 10/4/4.0.0 disc3 CLAIMED DEVICE DGC C2300WDR5
/dev/dsk/c1t0d0 /dev/floppy/c1t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0 /dev/rfloppy/c1t0d0

is it OK?

Serhiy.

Yes, you're right. 28696A (HVD, your case) has scsi3 driver, 28655A (SE) has scsi1 driver. As soon as this 28696A card was in the server when OS was installed then scsi3 initially was included in the kernel, but disc3 was not because there were no disk devices connected to this HBA
