Re: Cabling EVA4400 2C3D

It's not a problem. In the new EVAs, which use M6412 enclosures, there's no relation between enclosure numbering and the physical position of the enclosure. The enclosures are numbered in the sequence they are discovered.

Re: Cabling EVA4400 2C3D

Is the unit initialized yet?

if not, you can disconnect 2 of the shelves, reboot, initialize the eva than add the shelves one at a time to the loop.

As stated, the ID's do not necessarily need to be in sequential order.

Re: Cabling EVA4400 2C3D

Hello,

AFAIK is the ID fixed and will only be changed, if an Enclosure, which was alredy disconvered by an EVA controller, is added to an EVA, where the ID is already placed. Only in this case the ID will be chaned.

Re: Cabling EVA4400 2C3D

Thanks all for your answers, I solved the problem making a physical move of the Disk Enclosure for have the ID of each disk enclosure from top to bottom is 01, 02, 03.
