Cant LogIn to MSA2312SA

Hallo everybody,

please help with next problem:

cant login to msa2312sa, trying with different users from telnet and web,

account information - login and password - 100% right.

Trying on both controllers - same error - Unable to Authenticate Login, Try again

please help

HI,

Probably you can try changing the password.

TO do this you need to log on to the CLI

• Connect the micro-DB9-to-DB9 serial cable to the CLI port of the one of the controllers.

• Start and configure a terminal emulator, such as HyperTerminal or VT-100

• Press Enter to display the CLI prompt (#).

• Write the following CLI command to set new password:

• set password user

• where user is the user name of the user that needs to be changed the password for (f.e. manage).

And another questio: why it happen, because we dont change any password, and i dont think what was hack?

Could it not also be because of the authentication service on the MSA is down?
You could try to restart the MC (management controller) before resetting the password.

is it possible to reset it without work proccess delay?

This could be a problem of the management controllers (mc).

Connect via serial line and reset the MCs  - the array will continue to work.

yes, restarting the mc does not disrupt access to the disks.

I believe the CLI command is: restart mc

Do you know, this cable was with storage in package?
