Change disk drives

I have a surestore 12H disk array that has 8 9.1GB hard drives and 2 18.2GB hard drives. I am going to be adding 2 more 18.2GB hard drives next week. The question that I have is this: Can I replace the 9.1GB hard drives with 18.2GB hard drives or am I stuck with the configuration that I currently have? I don't want to replace them all at once but I am thinking about replaceing at least 2 of the 9.1GB hard drives in the future with 2 18.2GB hard drives.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Change disk drives

You can replace these drives completely on-line. All you have to do is remove ONE of the old drives and insert a new drive. The array will start balancing. Wait until the light show has completely finished until going on the the next drive replacement. The balancing may take a few hours per drive so be patient.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
