Clear warnings on VA7100

armdsp -a is giving warnings about errors that i think were fixed. the missing drive was bad and pulled. All 15 drives and 4 luns show good. Should the logs be cleared?

WARNING: The host indicated that hot spare space reservation was desired, but the space left unallocated was insufficient to provide the reservation.

WARNING: One or more member drives are missing.

WARNING: A rebuild operation failed.

WARNING: Some data in the device lacks redundancy, and is exposed to becoming unavailable if further drive removals or failures occur.

You can only clear the warnings by solving the problems.

I tihink something went wrong during your disk removal.

Can you post a complete "armdsp -a"?

sorry having trouble getting info on this. Not sure if it rebuilt. Did a rmbld -r va1 but no rebuild in progress mesg was seen.

Hi James,
Looks like the drive has been replaced before the rebuild completed.

Could you run a logprn -a $id -v and attach the output(zip or rar helps). Will try to find the current state and what went wrong.

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem...

After extending the VA with 8 new disks, two of them went in status "failed initialization". Then I replaced this two failed disks with two others and everything seemed to be ok, except that the warning state will not end:
Redundancy Loss
Missing Drive

Disk scrubbing in progress
Balancing in progress


An armdsp -a is telling me, that two disks are missing which are definitifely not on the system anymore.

What can I do?

Output of armdsp -a $ID is attached...
