Re: Command View 7.0

Command View 7.0

Hi!
I have to upgrade XCS from 6.0 to 6.110 on my EVA4000, but new XCS 6.110 requires HP CommandView EVA 7.0. Where can I get this product?
Thanks in advance,
Grzegorz

Re: Command View 7.0

Hi,

I don't believe CV EVA 7.0 is available for download anywhere. If you've got a valid support contract you should be able to ask HP for it...

However if I remember correctly the only change to XCS 6.110 was support for the new EVAs (4100,6100,8100). Therefore you should be able to upgrade to XCS 6.100 and keep CV EVA at its current version...

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Re: Command View 7.0

Hi,
Command View 7 is available from HP only. If you have a valid service contract with them then you will get the CD's in the near future. If you do not have a contract then you will need to contact HP - I suspect there will be a charge involved but I do not know how much.
If you are going from XCS 6.0 then you must have a EVA4/6/8K. You do not need to go to XCS 6.110 as this is only for 41/61/81xx product. For other 2nd generation EVA's you get the same functionality from V6.100. For this you do not need CV 7.0.

Check out this recent HP alert:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01035871&dimid=1256978157&dicid=alr_jul07&jumpid=em_alerts/us/jul07/all/xbu/emailsubid/mrm/mcc/loc/rbu_category-Advisory(Revised)/alerts

It gives directions to the 6.100 code etc.

Check out this link for cmd vw V6.0.2 which is probably where you want to go.

Re: Command View 7.0

And be aware if you choose to install CV 7 you will have to upgrade Webes if its running on your SMA/SMS. Webes must be version 5 for CV 7.
