Command View EVA upgrade

Hi,

I am planning to upgrade CV EVA 4.1 to CV EVA 5.03

Will this affect my continous access?

How about the existing licenses? will this work to the upgraded version?

What's the recommended? install and upgrade directly? or uninstall the CV EVA 4.1 then fresh install CV EVA 5.03?

Re: Command View EVA upgrade

Uninstall the CV4.1 first and then install CV5.x. There won├в t be any impact on License and Continuous Access.

You may be aware that CV5.x is also very old by now.

How do I get the license keys from Old version CV EVA 4.1?

Re: Command View EVA upgrade

license keys are stored on to the EVA. Hence new CV will read the valid license for you. However I guess CV4.1 has an option to export the license

Re: Command View EVA upgrade

What kind of firmware do you have on those EVAs? We are in version 9.2 of Command View now. Versions 4.x and 5.x have been out of support for 5 years now.

You're operating a Continous Access system with incredibly old and unsupported firmware and software? What will happen when there's some problem and you call HP for support?
