Compaq StorageWorks HSG80
Hello All. We have a Compaq StorageWorks HSG80 with four disk shelves and each disk shelf contains six hard drives and two 180W power supply units. We would like to take out the SCSI hard disk drives in the enclosures and replace them with SATA hard disk drives. Is this possible? Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: Compaq StorageWorks HSG80
No, that is not possible.
The HSG80 uses parallel-SCSI which is completely different from SATA (the 'S' indicates a Serial Interconnect) - electrical and command protocol-wise.
