Connecting Fiber Channel M5314C or M5214 via HSV200-A (AD525A)
I would like to know if an HSV200-A (AD525A) connected to a M5214 or a M5314C would need additional software for setting up the RAID configuration/management. Thank you.

To manage the EVA you need P6000 command view:

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Connecting Fiber Channel M5314C or M5214 via HSV200-A (AD525A)
Thank you for your answer, I have already sent an inquiry about the price of the software/license.
1) Does anyone know if the M5214 enclosure needs HP-only disk drives with HP proprietary firmware?
I would like to be able to choose myself the kind of disk drives to put into the enclosure,
most probably a mix of native FC disks and FATA disks, therefore:
2) Is there any incompatibility between the after-market FC-to-SATA interposers and the HP storage enclosures?

Have a look into the EVA 4100 quickspecs for supported disks.
Noone will ensure that unsupported disks work.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.
