Connecting MSA70 with C3000 through
Hi,
Is it possible to connect multiple MSA70 directly to C3000/Blade Servers through P700m card and SAS switch module on C3000. I don't want to use MSA200sa in front of MSA70. Please see the attached connection diagram for details.
Thanks

Re: Connecting MSA70 with C3000 through
There is a typo: it should be MSA2000sa instead of MSA200sa.

Re: Connecting MSA70 with C3000 through
Theoretically it looks like it will work but you will not know until you try it. Unless there is something in the P700m firmware that refuses to recognize the MSA60 and only recognizes the two storage systems that HP officially supports.
You have to zone each P700m to a SAS port on the interconnect switch and connect that port to one of the MSA60s.
Of course it is NOT a supported configuration so you can not call HP if you have any issues.
I would not do it, it just looks too much of a commitment with that many MSA60s.

Hi mk2007
Did you try it out and did it work?
Thanks.
