One of our servers is giving us an error about connecting to the external storage device through the fibre channel. What do I have to do to correct this? It connects a server to our MSA1000. The error screen in HPSIM is attached...

Hi James,
It would appear that you've lost one connection to the MSA.
As you've got a dual channel FC HBA, I'm guessing things are setup redundantly, so there are two controllers in the MSA1000 etc.
Check that both controllers are working, and also check that the fibre is connected correctly from the server to the MSA....
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob

Re: CpqFcaHostCntlrStatus:loopFailed?
Okay, I had suspected that, but I was worried it might be something worse. Thanks!
