Cranky CD reader
Cannot read W98SE disk. Occasional trouble with some prgm. disks. Any suggestions on correcting this fault? Seems to be mechanical/optical as most CD's run OK.
Cd player is in Pavilion 4535. An oldie but a goodie!

Re: Cranky CD reader
Get a can of compressed air and blow air into the drive while the tray is out. Then wait about 10 minutes and do it again. It might just be dust on the laser head. See if you win98se dick is not damaged.
