DEC RZ29B-VA drives under windows 2000
I have just received 3 banks of RZ29B-VA drives for the Storageworks BA-356
storage shelf. Then I try to load either Windows NT or Windows 2000 on my
DEC MX6200 or DEC ZX6000, the install processes just hangs with a flashing
of the first dirves activity light at 1 per second. The drives all
initialize through the scsi controller just fine, and Linux loads on the
drives without any problems. Is there a special driver that I need to
use, or something different in the settings for the drives that will allow
the windows to load?
Thanks in advance for your help..

Re: DEC RZ29B-VA drives under windows 2000
it doesn't seem to matter whether the drives are in the system itself, in the built in shelf or in the BA-356 attached to the Adaptect 7880 (in the DEC MX6200) or the Adaptect 3490 (DEX ZX6000). The reaction to the drive is the same...
