DL380 Smart Array Controller
Got a DL380 with two drives in the hot swap bays...works fine. Plug in an external array into the connector on the back, smart array configuration never comes up and the server only sees the original disks (SCSI Port 2). Pop out the disks, reboot and smart array configuration comes up, seeing all the drives in the external array (SCSI Port 1). I'd like to use both the original h/s disks and those in the external array. I didn't get the smartstart cd with the server. How can I get both going?

Re: DL380 Smart Array Controller
What you want is not possible. You need an extra smartarray controller for this.

Re: DL380 Smart Array Controller
Actually, I got it working. Just needed the smartstart disk which I borrowed from someone else. The BIOS ACU doesn't have the ability to handle this but the CD version (5.5) did.
