DS2405

Does anyone know how to format the drives in a DS2405, the array was orginally connected to a VA7400 and has been formatted to a byte size of 520. The unit is now standalone and I need to reformat back to 512 bytes. I have CommandView 1.06 loaded. Any ideas please.

I think this is done by the os.
On what os are you connecting the array

Hi Tony,

if your OS is HP-UX, you can use mediainit command.

I have a similar need and have the older DS2400. Can you please let me know if you did this with Windows or not and if possible a rough idea of how it was achieved. I have loaded Command View SDM 1.08 for W2K. I can load Linux if needed to achieve this.

Any help would be appreciated.
