Data Wiping (RAID Arrays)

Want to give Proliant 3000R server + 9.1Gb disks away to charity rather than pay to dispose. Have used data wiping tool e.g. DBAN in past to do 7 passes of random 0's + 1's on all PC hard disks but the tool and others I've researched don't support SCSI disks or array controllers.

Are there any tools on the market that can handle this? Do HP supply anything? The erase utility on Smart Start wouldn't be sufficient.

Hi John,

What you need is WipeDrive from AccessData Corp. attached is the readme. Very Useful

Re: Data Wiping (RAID Arrays)

I discovered that the current solution (DBAN)we use for PCs was able to wipe server disk arrays with a few changes to the startup parameters. The tip John gave was somewhat helpful although the website didn't have fully conclusive support material.
