Just benchmarked an EVA 5000 the other day at HP - down 1 single 2Gigabit fibre connection to an HP rp8400 the raw dd speed was a maximum of 125 Megabytes per second.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...

Hi,
Transfer rates depends much of the array configuration (number of disks) and the type of data. Teoretically you can reach a raw transfer rate of 2Gbit for each FC port (4* 2= (Gbit/s) with a large number of disks but dont expect that performance if transfering millions of small files (for example).
Also note the difference with read/write. Write operations is much more disk intensive then read (factor 2-6) and, will of course decrease transfer rate.

You can use the SANergy software to test it.
Different configuration will happen different result.
Raid level is very important and memory sets.
