Storage Boards Cleanup
To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

Re: Data transfer rate

Just benchmarked an EVA 5000 the other day at HP - down 1 single 2Gigabit fibre connection to an HP rp8400 the raw dd speed was a maximum of 125 Megabytes per second.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...

Re: Data transfer rate

Hi,
Transfer rates depends much of the array configuration (number of disks) and the type of data. Teoretically you can reach a raw transfer rate of 2Gbit for each FC port (4* 2= (Gbit/s) with a large number of disks but dont expect that performance if transfering millions of small files (for example).
Also note the difference with read/write. Write operations is much more disk intensive then read (factor 2-6) and, will of course decrease transfer rate.

Re: Data transfer rate

You can use the SANergy software to test it.
Different configuration will happen different result.
Raid level is very important and memory sets.
