Deleting raid array

I have an Netserver LH4r with an additional Netraid 3si installed. I currently have 5/& arrays.
Array 0 (2*9GB Raid 1)
Array 1 (6*18GB Raid 5, Failed, all disks removed)
Array 2-3 (Raid0+1)
Array 4 (8*18GB Raid 5)
Array 5 (4*18GB Raid5)

What i want to do is to delete Array 1 with all the failed disks to remove it from the config so that i do not have to press a key on every re-boot and also have a failed drive in the config.

Re: Deleting raid array

hi,
unfortunately there is no way to remove an array that is not the last one.
the only way is to record the complete configuration, make a clear config, and rereate all the new configuration without the array 1.
you just have to be careful not to go in the initialization process of the raid, that is proposed by default, or you will loose all your data

Re: Deleting raid array

Could I unplug all the arrays after the one I want to delete, delete all but the first in the config software and then plug the disks in again and read the config from the disks?

Re: Deleting raid array

HI,
no you cannot, the complete configuration is written in NVRam and on every disk.
so removing or clearing part of the config do not solve the problem, because it will always contain the config or the removed disks
