Disk Compatibilities -K Class and DL

We have 30 disks that were pulled from the DLs and want to know if we can re-use them in a K580. I believe they are 36 and 18gb disks but I am unsure as no site survey has been done yet but just want to know any gotchas to watch for with compatibility between the KClass and the DLs; or if there will be any driver or controller concerns. Thanks.

Re: Disk Compatibilities -K Class and DL

Hi Doris, assuming you talking about the ProLiant DL servers, no, they are not compatible drives and they will not work internally in the K class servers. The ProLiant DL drives are Ultra320 80-pin and they run at 10k or 15k rpm. The K class drives run at 7200 RPM and have a 68-pin FWD SCSI-2 interface.

Hope this helps.
