Does SecurePath support other storage servers? Or only support the HP storage servers?

Re: Does SecurePath support other storage servers besides HP's product?
I believe it does. In a related matter we're being recommended secure path as a means for connecting ibm servers to MSA-1000 storage.
Is it on the support list? Doubt that will ever happen. Like other vendors, HP leverages hardware to sell software and vice versa.

Re: Does SecurePath support other storage servers besides HP's product?
Hence, am not confident if it would work with non-hp units. cetainly SP with non-hp hardware wont be supported config as far as the vendor goes.
FYI, the link for SP quickspecs is as posted.

SolutionSecure Path will not even try to filter all HP arrays. For example, the Windows 'workgroup edition' will ignore the enterprise storage arrays.
Even Secure Path for Windows Enterprise Edition will NOT filter all arrays. For example, when the EVA3000/5000 went to active/active mode, the controller firmware was programmed to respond with HSV101/HSV111 instead of the original HSV100/HSV110 to make Secure Path no longer recognize the array.
Reason? Secure Path does not know how to work with an active/active array. Well, there is one minor exception on HP-UX, but I hope you got the idea.

Re: Does SecurePath support other storage servers besides HP's product?
or
Do you mean to ask if Secure Path works on other vendor servers (IBM xSeries for example) while connected to HP Storage Arrays?
HP SecurePath is software that allows your OS to configure HP Multipath Storage Array configurations. It will NOT work with other vendors Storage Arrays (HDS, EMC Clarion, IBM Shark/DS4x series). Those vendors have their own multipath software.
HP SecurePath software WILL work on servers from other vendors (or should) as long as those servers (IBM, DELL, etc) are connected to an HP Storageworks Storage Array.
Also as stated, it will only work with certain arrays it was designed for.

Re: Does SecurePath support other storage servers besides HP's product?
IBM has Storage Manager with RDAC
not sure of the other vendors.
