Re: Drive Size
The largest drive compaq offers is 72 gig the link is here http://www.compaq.com/products/storageworks/uhd/ultra3-10k.html but I do not believe the is any actual limitation per drive.
Protocol Wide Ultra2 SCSI, Wide-Ultra SCSI-3, Fast Wide SCSI-2 or Fast SCSI-2
SCSI Electrical Interface Low Voltage Differential (LVD) & Single Ended
Drives Supported Up to 30 Wide Ultra21 SCSI, Wide-Ultra SCSI-3, Fast-Wide SCSI-2 or Fast SCSI-2 Hard Drives, when used with the 4214 the maximum number of drives per channel is 15.
Data Transfer Method 32-Bit PCI bus master
Maximum Transfer Rate on System Bus (peak) 133 MB/s
Simultaneous Drive Transfer Channels Two
Total Channel Transfer Rate 80 MB/s per channel
In order to function at Wide Ultra2 SCSI transfer rates, the Smart Array 3200 Controller must be used with Wide Ultra2 SCSI capable HDD, drivers & servers.
Software Upgradable Firmware Yes
Read/Write Cache 64-MB Array Accelerator, removable with battery backup (56MB available) built on the removable daughter boards.
Logical Drives Supported 32
Reliability Features Distributed Data Guarding (RAID 5) Yes
Data Guarding (RAID 4) Yes
Drive Mirroring (RAID 1) Yes
Drive Striping (RAID 0) Yes
Controller Duplexing Yes1
Automatic Data Recovery Yes
