Re: Dual DS2300's with Dual BCC's with Dual 4Si's?

Hello,

The manual can be found here:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/CoreRedirect.jsp?targetPage=http%3A%2F%2Fh200005.www2.hp.com%2Fbc%2Fdocs%2Fsupport%2FSupportManual%2Flpg29283%2Flpg29283.pdf

On pg. 24-25, you will find that your card (A6929A) IS supported. The link you attached gave only Windows-supported cards.

Regarding the multi-initiator problem, yes, the diagram I gave uses them. You have to contact HP to check whether the fix is available. I'm not an HP guy unfortunately so I'm not into these things :-)

Good luck,
Vince

Re: Dual DS2300's with Dual BCC's with Dual 4Si's?

Hello,

Actually... no, my diagram shows a non-multi-initiator SCSI setup... Reason is, all the ds2300 controllers are only connected to 1 SCSI wire. At the other end, a terminator should be connected.

An example of a multi-initiator setup would be the one you gave me before involving 8 HBAs.

That is the reason why the User's Guide gives only such examples, without multi-initiator.
