Dear all,
At the moment I have ML350 G5 with Smart Array E200. Drives are configured in RAID and there is user data on server.
Is it possible to upgrade E200 to P400 preserving configuration and user`s data?
Does E200 uses same Windows driver as P400.
Goran

Solution
Hi Goran,
Yes it is. If you check the Quickspecs for the P400 here:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12400_div/12400_div.HTML
They state:
"Data Compatibility among all models of Smart Array controllers allows simple and easy upgrades any time needs for higher performance, capacity, and availability increase. Even successive generations of Smart Array controllers understand the data format of other Smart Array Controllers."
I'm fairly certain that both controllers use the same drivers.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob
