Greetings,
I am having storage with 2 HSG80 Controllers with ACSV86F-4 & currently i am having 70 disks in the storage,Now Still we can add 14 more disks,is it possible with the existing ACS version or we need to upgrade ACS version.
please advice

Solution
The older Blue Brick HSG's only had 70 physical slots for drives.
If you have the EMA style HSG's that take the universal 1" drives, then you can have up to 84 drives in your HSG. V8.6x-0 was the minimum shipping version in the EMA style system when they first became available.
6 shelves(Channel/BUS) of 14 drives each = 84 drives.
There are numerous reasons that you should upgrade to V8.7F-4 Including support of the 146GB drives.

Many thanks,
we are having 1 inche drives & its just 2 year old storage.currently we are having all 18Gb & 36Gb drives.will this storage support 72Gb drives without any upgrade.
I will try to convince to customer for upgrade to v87Fx.x

If they do not go for the 8.7 upgrade. They should at least upgrade to 8.6F-13
