EMC HELP

Anyone out there use an EMC symm box? I have a 3930. I need to find out which port my HP15 box is using on the symm. Any commands available to check this?

Re: EMC HELP

Hi Robert,

The command to use is syminq
Ours is installed in /opt/emc/SYMCLI/V5.0.0/bin - yours may be different.
Attached is it's man page as a txt file.

Re: EMC HELP

ALl the EMC commands should be in:

/usr/symcli/bin

Depending on version of EMC software - inq was replaced with the syminq commmand.

If you have ECC OE, then you can use that GUI to find out port. (You mean FA on the frame right?)

Re: EMC HELP

The syminq command, or inq if using an earlier version of symcli.

Tells you FA, DA, and disk info as well.

Also check out the symcfg command.

Re: EMC HELP

symcfg list -connections
works great also. Shows all servers and their connections.

sympd list
will also ID the FA, although only one of a multipath
