Re: EMC to RAID array-K460-10.20

I think the "Nike" array was called the Model 20 and Model 30 disk arrays. They were OEM from Clariion. From what I hear, they are good (but at this point, dated) arrays.

Re: EMC to RAID array-K460-10.20

Vincent,
Thanks again for the information, I have enough now, to keep me busy, and the boss(s) happy.

When all is said and done, the cost for RAID might send them packing, back to using Jamacias and HP SW mirroring.

Have a good one!

Re: EMC to RAID array-K460-10.20

Vincent,
Are you aware of any K460 10.20 RAID configurations where the controller is on the HP buss?

Thanks, ~jdk

Re: EMC to RAID array-K460-10.20

Not in the K-series...

You can use a 4si PCI card in the newer machines, but there's no equiv for the K's bus structure that I'm aware of.

Re: EMC to RAID array-K460-10.20

Thanks again Vincent,
That's what I thought, but was not positive.
The 12h "HPscsi-cntrl to 12hR5scsi-cntrl" solution raised some eyebrows.
So I suggested the Mux....they went straight scsi, two dual card 12h's actually. Now to see what 4 oracle databases think about that. The HASS arrays were to much in the $ dept. :(

Thanks buddy!
