Hi,
in a current project we have to integrate 2 EVA 4000 units in a clustered environment.
I've heard that Securepath is not required with EVA 4000. HP's Securepath Website says also it's not supported.
Can somebody confirm?
How is Multipath I/O handled with EVA 4000? Is there any additional infoamtion on that?
Kind regards
Benedikt

Solution
Secure Path does not know the EVA4000/6000/8000, even if you installed it, it would not work.
Multipathing is now done by using Windows' MPIO framework. There is a DSM (device specific module) and a menagement interface for download:

Re: EVA 4000 with Windows 2003 - Securepath required or not?
For the EVA4/6/8k's and EVA3/5k's with 4.x firmware (active/active arrays) you will need the "Full Featured" Device Specific Module (DSM), this will handle load balancing as well as multiple path failover.
For the 3/5k's still on the 3.x branch (active/passive arrays) you will need the "Basic" DSM.
