EVA 5000, Secure path on Solaris
Hi,
I have installed Securepath 3.0dsp1 on a sun machine connected to a EVA 5000. I have 2 hba's in the server. Spmgr display list 4 paths and everything looks normal. When I tested failover using purge option in the format programme in Solaris (I pulled out the the cable to the hba were the i/o was going)
the i/o stopped/failed. When I tried failover on a EVA lun with makefile then it worked.
Does the format command in Sun operate at such a low level that it does not involve securepath, so a failed path will not be discovered ?
Thanks - inex_77
