Re: EVA 5K with 2c2d

Hi All,

I thought V3.110 is the latest version as this is what I keep seeing in HP customer advisories etc. and in this forum.

However, I keep seeing references in this forum to V3.028 as the "latest" version ??? So what's it to be then ????

Anybody out there using V3.110 ???

I haven't tried it myself yet, by the way...

Re: EVA 5K with 2c2d

VCS3.110 is currently on controlled release which means that it needs an HP escalation to get it.
It is expected that it will go GA in the June timeframe if the the controlled release installations go well.

Re: EVA 5K with 2c2d

1) command view 4.1 is it upgradeable from previous version or fresh time installation

I would go for CV 6.02 which is the latest version. It will take intermediate upgrades for metadata conversion sake. Let HP do the upgrade!

2) what about the License issue for the command view.

This depends on the contract you have and under what terms you bought your EVA/CV. Best is to talk to your HP representative for support!

3) from where i can download the firmware for VCS and command view

VCS and CV is not intended to just be downloaded and installed by customers.
Again, contact your HP representative for support in figuring out your current licensing scheme and the required upgrade paths!

Cheers

Re: EVA 5K with 2c2d

The reason for introducing it this way is VCS3.100 which had to be withdrawn due to a problem in very specific configurations that was discovered after public release.

A controlled release allows monitoring product quality and avoiding customer dissatisfacion! (Remember, there are more than 30'000 EVAs installed worldwide)
