EVA Snapshots
Hello
We are trying to set up snapshots on an EVA5000 so that 3 are taken every day. We have scheduled the jobs to create the snapshots through RSM and they work fine. What I'm not sure how to do is overwrite/delete old snapshots. We don't need any more than a couple of days worth of snapshots at any one time. How can we go about this?
Thanks in advance

Re: EVA Snapshots
If you are on VCS 3.xxx you need to delete the snapshots you do not need anymore from Command View or RSM.
If you are on VCS 4.xxx you can convert a snapshot into a container and the reuse it for another snapshot.
Cheers
Peter

Re: EVA Snapshots
Using RSM, add a line to remove the old snapshot or create a new job for delete the snapshot. Use the:
DeleteStorageVolume ( %storvol_unc_name% )
Instruction.
DeleteStorageVolume ( %storvol_unc_name% )
Instruction.

Re: EVA Snapshots
If I use a RSM script to delete the snapshots, how do I specify which snapshot for it to delete if I just want it to delete the oldest of six.
