Re: EVA info
You would probably be best reading the user guide for Command View EVA here:
http://bizsupport.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01081029/c01081029.pdf
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob

Re: EVA info
- The LUNs on EVA can be created on vraid 0, 1 and 5, the idea is similar to RAID 0, 1 and 5, but the protection against disk failures is more complex.
- You must create an entry for each host on Command View, listing the WWN of the FC adapters it has, and the OS it is running.
- You must pressent a LUN to a host so it can see it.
- Since an EVA has several ports connected to the SAN, and a host typically has 2 FC adapters, the LUN will be seen though several (4 or 8) paths, and will appear as several devices. This needs to be taken care off by multipath software like Securepath, or any other supported sulution.
- The EVA has the possibility of making snapshots, snapclones and mirrorclones of disks, take a look at those features and consider if would be worth to purchase a license.

Re: EVA info
Actually I am looking for info from the EVA side.
-How to create a LUN
-Prerequisites or steps to be taken before creating a LUN, etc.
-Any info which will ease doing the above
From OS level, I am pretty sure I can handle it.
Thanks.
