Solution
Maybe (see below). The true SN is provided on a sticker that can be at different locations.
For large EVAs, it is usually at the rear door frame right above your head (unless you are larger than 2 meters ;-). If the cabinet can hold several smaller EVAs, the sticker used to be glued against the rack-mount kit (rear left or right side). These days it is tacked to the cabinet at the height of the controller assembly.
Me, I usually enter it as a comment on the storage system properties page.
If the EVA is monitored by OSEM/WEBES, the SN _should_ have been entered there.

unfortunately . there is no sticker on the rear of the rack.

On most EVA3000 I have seen, it was at the rear inside of the controller rack mount kit.
