EVA5000 and secure path problem
Dear All,
1.Problem: HPUX+EVA5000, user install secure path software in the HPUX, and present two Vdisks(Lun0 and Lun1) to this server from EVA5000. Now the problem is:
1) Lun0 no problem;
2) Lun1,its active controller and stanby controller will be changed automatically very quickly.
3) The change can be saw in syslog.log(if you open the setting of spmgr log) and by command 'spmgr display';

Re: EVA5000 and secure path problem
Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the cause of the issue, but the version of VCS on the EVA is very old. 3.020 was retired a long time ago.
You should arrange to get up to 3.110 as soon as possible.
Cheers,
Rob

Re: EVA5000 and secure path problem
Bonjour,
As far I can see, you have not the latest version of secure path : A.3.0F.00F.00F. It should be at least "Secure Path v3.0F for HP-UX Service Pack 2 Patch 2" A.3.0F.02F.02F.
I just took a look at secure path download page and seen that there is a new service pack 3 :
"http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=1825336&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=471465&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=7"
What is the configuration of "Preferred Path" of those vDisk ? Check in Command View EVA, on page presentation of the vdisks.
Eric
