Any idea why these errors are being generated ?

FP2 refers to the HOST port on the EVA, Link errors indicate an issue with the Fibre optic cable or transceiver or the SAN infrastructure or if it is a direct attach then need to check the Host's FC Adapter.

Corrective action CAC indicates that the issue could be external to the EVA.

Hi,

Try logging on to the SAN switch to which port FP2 is connected, and see if there are any errors on that port.

As previously suggested, you may have a duff SFP or fibre cable.

it seems that your SAN have problem. Just log to your switches and find out the port to which is EVA FP2 connected. Afterwards use "portstatshow portnum" (for brocade switches) to check if there's some errors on the port of the switch.

is the eva controller connected to port 48 and 64 of the san switch? they both seem to have high signal loss count.

it'll be usefull also know to which ports is EVA connected. Should you give switchshow (map of the WWNs on the switch) and WWNs of the EVA?
Only error output is good but we need to identify which port is the EVA port.
