Enabling prefetch on VA 7100

We have several VA 7100 arrays in our production sites. armdsp indicates prefetch has been enabled on most of these, however there is at least one where this setting is false and we have been advised by HP to enable it.

I have a few questions -
1)What does this setting affect?
2)What mechanism(s) are available to enable/disable it?
3)Can it be changed while the array is in use (no reset)?

We are currently running CommandView SDM 1.07 -I don't see any references to this setting through the GUI.
