Error on MSA1500

My MSA1500 has an error on it's MSA30 shelf, amber fault LED is lit and the EMU LED is blinking. How can I find out what that error is?

Re: Error on MSA1500

There may be a failure of one of the Power supplies or Fans.
Did you see any error message on MSA1500 LCD?
I assume that there is Fault amber LED on both MSA1500 and MSA30 and MSA30 EMU LED is blinking .
Check the back side of the MSA30 Shelf.
There may be PS or Fan Indicators flasing Amber or off . In normal condition , the indicators should be solid green. You need to replace that component whihc is not showing solid green.

Once you replace the faulty component, the EMU LED will stop binking.

If those are OK, then you need to check for
other Environment conditions like tempreture etc. which is causing EMU to flash the LED.

Re: Error on MSA1500

The fans and power supplies are OK. There is no error on the controller LCD. All drives show OK. The room temp is kept at about 60F degrees. The only thing I can figure is a faulty EMU.

Re: Error on MSA1500

Looks like a faulty EMU. In addition to that, we replace the SCSI cable with a shorter one. Apparently the MSA will have some bus timeout issues on occasion and cause a controller reboot.I opened a case with HP and was told this. HP sent an EMU and 6ft cable.
