Expanding Raid5 on a ML370
I must upgrade a existing Raid5 on a ML370. The actual configuration is as follow :
Smartarray contr. 128293-B21
3x9.1 GB
Was wondering if there is any documentation on how to perform this. Have never done this on a ML370 before.
Many thanks in advance

Re: Expanding Raid5 on a ML370
David, it would help if you told us to what you want to upgrade. Virtually all Smart Array controllers support Array expansion/Logical drive extension/RAID migration.
A Proliant a day keeps the competition away!

Re: Expanding Raid5 on a ML370
Hi
You can expand the array without problems. You need ACU tool, the operation is very simple. plugin the disks, start operating system, start ACU, it discover the new disks, add to array, expand array.
Its possible that operating system need some time to see the new space.
