FC 1142 + MSA 1000 + ESX 3.0.1

Hi all,

I can't see my MSA 1000, i have DL385G2 with FC1142SR. Home page doesn't display controller information under "external storage link"

MSA : 4.48
IM : 7.70 test with 7.60b = same
driver for FC1142 : 7.07.04 from Vmware
Multi path : native Vmware
Bios : 1.09

The MSA is OK, i can access it from my other W2k3 server.

Hi,

have you created Zones on your SAN Switches with the ESX Server and the MSA1000?
How about Selective Storage Presentation on the MSA1000? If you run ACU on your W2K3 server, can you see the WWNs of the ESX server in the SSP List?

- No Zoning on the San Switches, all is open by default

- I can't see the MSA in the ACU on the ESX Server

- Boot from the ACU CD i can see the WNNs, and config the SSP for the linux Mode and enable the our 2 ESX server to see the LUN

- All are working fine with our old DL385G1, and we kept the same configuration on the MSA and the Servers

- May be there is a issue with the HP agent on the DL385G2 ?

I try with PCI-X 133 2Go QLA2340 all work fine !

but with PCI-Express x4 4Go QLA2460 i can't see my MSA from the ACU

Boutaleb, Did you ever get this working? What was the fix?
