FC-SW and FC-AL

Hello

Please can somebody help urgently.

I need to know the addressing scheme for FC-SW and public and private FC-AL public and private. They are either 24 or 8 bit!

Please help

According to a Brocade training class. The address word is composed of 3 hex bytes.

DD,PP,LL
DD = Domain ID # of the switch.
PP = Port # of the switch.
LL = Arbitrated Loop ID # of the device.

Note: if the Fabric PID_FORMAT = 0, then the leaing digit of PP = 1x. this limits you to a 16 port switch. If you have larger than a 16 port switch, then you MUST use the PID_FOMAT = 1 which turns this off.
