Re: FC60 and email

For WINNT, see the following manual, page 39:

Good luck!

Re: FC60 and email

HI,

in /etc/hpC2400 is a file arraymon.dest in here you can put the email adresses which will receive error messages. I think /dev/console is included as default here...

Hope this helps,

Michael:

Look at the EMS Hardware Monitors User's Guide at the following location:

http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B6191-90024/B6191-90024.html

If you search the manual for "alert" and select "Enabling Hardware Event Monitoring" from the matches, I think you'll find what you want.

Good luck!

Re: FC60 and email

Unfortunatly, I think we don't have a function like that for FC60.
We used to create files, haraymon.dest and haraymon.sig, to get the status of Nike or CASCADE disk array by emailing when something unexpected happened but those files are limited to both of the disk array.

Now, what we have is EMS (Event Monitoring System) that allows you to monitor various kind of products including FC60 and to email someone stated if any failure occurs.

You can turn on or off monitoring for individual product by runnig monconfig at the prompt.

# /etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig
Go to Modify an existing monitoring request, select FC60, set threshold, notification method, in this case, your preference would be email.

Best regards,
