Re: Finding HBA
There is a long list of HP supported HBAs from JNI, Emulex or SUN.
The choice of HBA depends on
1. Solaris version (6, 7, 8, 9)
2. multipathing version to be used (MpXIO or Veritas DMP)
3. FC Switch brand (Brocade, McData, Cisco, Inrange)
Best is to contact your HP Account Manager and ask for a call from the Storage Technology Consultant specialized in XPs. He can give you advise and recommendations.
Enjoy your XP

Re: Finding HBA
Ok Peter,
I want to connect the SUN Solaris 8 or 9 in direct attach to the XP512 i think that i coan do it without a switch, right? I Think that could be a Emulex or Qlogic, Where can find a document or Matrix for the HBA compatible whit XP512?

Re: Finding HBA
The connectivity matrices are not public but can be shown to you by HP.
Again I recommend contacting your HP representative. He can advise you what HBA fits your environment best.
Example: Emulex and Qlogic HBAs are not supported with MpXIO!
I mean beside multipathing there are questions like Server type, Bus type (S-Bus/PCI) etc.
About direct connect: Yes this is supported
Cheers
