Folders permisions

Folders permisions

We have an EVA4100 and every time we create a folder or file on a partition it sets as read only in Windows 2003 server, as we share this partitions with multiple users and we want those users to modify the files within the folders they are unable to do this because of the folders permisions.

Is this normal or is there a workaround?

Re: Folders permisions

This has nothing to do with the EVA4100, which only serves blocks of data and does not 'know' what files or folders are.

What you see is the default behaviour (normal) and can be changed. No offense meant, but you do need to learn about permissions, ACLs and (maybe) groups in Windows to properly control access to the folders.
